So call us crazy but we took all 6 of us on a 17 day trip to Orlando Florida over Christmas. It was quite the adventure. Here's a few pix of the trip over. We flew to Seattle, with a layover there that evening where we planned to see a few things, stay in a motel and fly out to FL the next morning. Well we happened to be there during some of the worst snow storms the Northwest has had in 10 years I think they said. We didn't end up seeing much of Seattle but felt very lucky and blessed to finally get out on a flight that next day. People were stuck in that airport for days I guess.

Bryce and Blake especially loved their first real plane trips! Blake kept saying "ready to go, lets go..." while we waited for the plane to taxi and take off.

We waited in the Seattle airport about 6 hrs while our plane got it's turn to be de-iced. (Then we heard they ran out and no more flights went out that day.) We were so lucky.

This is about as close as we got to the space needle. We wondered why down town Seattle was so dead with just a couple inches of snow on the road. When we asked some locals what was going on they explained that this was a bit of a crisis for Seattle and everything was shutting down. We did have a good dinner at Buca de Bepo here though. Those hills were slick and Terran did some tricky driving getting us to the airport on time the next morning. We do want to go back here some time when there's no crisis going on.

We got up at 5am and drove to the airport to wait in this crazy line which wrapped around the airport probably 1/2 mile for 2 hrs with the kids. They were troopers. I did beg some breakfast sandwiches from a closed shop finally because all the restaurants down there were out of food due to all the people stuck there.
