Here's the novice kids in the showmanship event. Trey & sasquatch are on the far left. (No that's not Colonel Sanders next to Trey... how cute!) They have to tell about themselves and their breed of chicken in front of a judge and audience. Then they point out all the parts of the bird and the judge can ask questions. We weren't sure what to expect from this, but Trey did pretty good. He got a blue ribbon! Course he said he wanted the purple Best of Show one... maybe next time, I told him.

Trey's pondering the judge's question here. I kind of wanted to yell out answers and help some of the kids out. I knew a few of them. This lady knew way more than any one person should know about chickens though.

Bryce and his buddy Carter on the rides.

Trey and friend Hunter by a sign he made for his chicken's cage.

Two blue ribbons for the birds!! Hatch was the best Ameracauna at the fair too, she said. Trey stayes at the fair most of the week with his best friend Daniel and his Mom camping. He helped Daniel with his lamb. He seemed to have a lot of fun. Kind of a stressful event for mom. We're glad it's over:)
